Ready to move from Instagram to an art gallery? The Highland Archaeology Festival have announced a new photography competition with some prestigious prizes!

Your picture can feature a site, building, museum object or people enjoying Scotland’s heritage. The deadline is 15 August and the competition is open to all ages (split into ‘Under 16’ and ‘Over 16’).

Prizes range from Dig It! 2017 t-shirts to Historic Scotland memberships. And if you really want to show off to your friends, shortlisted entries will be exhibited at the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.
