The Forth Bridge

With its distinctive shape and rust-red paint, this Victorian engineering icon is spectacular from every angle.

At the time of its completion in 1890, it had the longest cantilever bridge span in the world, and it still carries more than 200 trains a day across the Firth of Forth.
