Preparing for winter has always been important. The ancient loch dwellers would be well-prepared as they entered winter with foods and fuel to keep them going .
Preparations for the long winter months ahead are featured in this event.
Woodworking, turning and whittling demonstrations with a chance to try them yourselves take place throughout the day.
Smoked and cured foods, berries, apples and mushrooms, together with rich meaty stews will all be on offer for a donation.
Ancient textiles – repairs, new layers and Cosagach (the Scottish equivalent to Hygge!). The Crannog community will be getting prepared to stay warm throughout winter!
