You’re never too young to uncover a real piece of history. As part of World Heritage Day 2015, children from the local community in Falkirk were invited to join an archaeologist at a dig near the Antonine Wall.* After a few moments of digging, an eight-year old schoolchild unearthed an artefact which predates the Romans in Scotland! Now that the flint has been uncovered, where do you think it’ll travel to next? *Please note that the dig took place near (not on) the Antonine Wall. You should not dig near or on the wall without proper permissions.
