AOC are coordinating a second season of excavation with Hilton Historic Trust on behalf of Historic Environment Scotland at this iconic site to investigate several early features which link to the early medieval and medieval communities based here. Work in 2023 indicated activity here long before the chapel and the cross-slab were built and in use and they want to explore these early Pictish features to find out more.
Come and join them for an evening talk on the results of the project so far and plans for the 2026 dig.
Please note that this event is not being coordinated by Dig It!. While Dig It! takes every opportunity to ensure that this information is accurate, we advise that you contact the event organiser before attending the event to avoid disappointment.
