SWSARF Workshop – Early Medieval (Kilmarnock)

Join the South West Scotland Archaeological Research Framework (SWSARF) team from ScARF and Archaeology Scotland for an afternoon of short talks and discussions about the early medieval archaeology of South West Scotland.

Draft chapters for the SWSARF project are currently being prepared and the first drafts are now available on the ScARF website for users to review and comment on. This event will offer you the chance to be involved in the creation and consultation of this highly anticipated framework.

Attendees will explore the early medieval draft chapter and the development of the framework through short talks and group discussions. The team are keen to hear feedback, suggestions and new perspectives from the people who live and work in the region.

The early medieval draft chapter will soon be made available.

Please note this is an in-person only event.

Tea and coffee will be provided. The full schedule will be circulated ahead of the event.

The Dick Institute features wheelchair access throughout, an internal lift to upper-floor galleries, accessible toilets, and automatic entrance doors.

The museum has free parking and three blue badge spaces- available. If needed, additional public parking options are available a short walk away towards the town center.
