Under Siege: Burnswark Hill and the Roman Iron Age ‘Boom Towns’ at the Edge of Empire

Come along to this Glasgow Archaeological Society (GAS) event to hear from James O’Driscoll.

Each year, between October and April, GAS organises a series of lectures on archaeology topics, from the local to the international. Their speakers have been everything from academics and commercial archaeologists to heritage experts and passionate amateur archaeologists.

These lectures take place on the third Thursday of each month, from 7:30pm, in The Humanities Research Hub, except for the Dalrymple lectures. All of their lectures are all free to attend for members and non-members, and can also be livestreamed and watched back via this link.

While Dig It! takes every opportunity to ensure that this information is accurate, we advise that you contact the event organiser before attending the event to avoid disappointment. As “39% of transport emissions come from cars” according to Net Zero Nation, Dig It! also encourages you to walk, wheel, cycle or use public transport to arrive at this event if possible.
