As part of the programme of events for the Uncovering the Tweed project, AOC Archaeology Group will be holding a final day of practical survey training at Birgham, near Coldstream, focussed on exploring, investigating and recording the historic Birgham Cemetery.
The survey will focus primarily on recording the remaining historic gravestones and grave slabs that survive within this historic cemetery, some of which date back to the 17th century.
The participants will be using the widely recognised Mytum system as well as detailed photography and photogrammetry. Full training will be given on the days, no experience necessary.
