Mon The Fish! – Celebrating the Return of Salmon To the Clyde

Join Ingrid Shearer of Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and Dr William Yeomans of the Clyde River Foundation for a mix of folklore, archaeology and history exploring the city’s relationship with the River Clyde and its fishy inhabitants.

Find out how the river is recovering from the impacts of industrialisation, the environmental significance of the return of salmon to the river in 1983 (‘one of the greatest good news stories in the history of freshwater biology’), and progress made over the past forty years.

They’ll even throw in a cup of coffee and a reasonably tasty biscuit.
