Archaeological Research in Progress 2026 (HYBRID EVENT)

The Archaeological Research in Progress (ARP) conference returns for 2026, a one-day hybrid event sharing the latest discoveries, insights, and best practice in archaeology from across Scotland, spanning all time periods.

First launched in 2005, ARP continues to bring together researchers and enthusiasts each year, organised in rotation by Archaeology Scotland and the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.

This year, Archaeology Scotland is delighted to host the conference on Saturday 23 May 2026 at the Robert Burns Centre in Dumfries & Galloway and online. This year’s programme includes talks on sites at Drumadoon, Glencoe, Kelvingrove and much more!

Share your plans and connect with others using #ARP2026

Please note that in-person tickets are also available.

With thanks to partners Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and Dumfries and Galloway Council, and event sponsors, Forestry and Land Scotland, AOC Archaeology Group, UHI Archaeology Institute, University of Glasgow, ALGAO and Clyde Archaeology
