Broch ‘n’ Roll: Thirteen Years of Pointing at Inconspicuous Mounds with the Caithness Broch Project

To paraphrase the Talking Heads, you may ask yourself “where is my beautiful broch?”. Consider this talk an official apology from the Caithness Broch Project, an archaeological charity who have been striving towards building a broch in Caithness – the first in over 2,000 years.

Kenneth McElroy, director and co-founder of the Caithness Broch Project and avid amateur archaeologist, will explain why this has taken so long and what the Project have been doing over the past few years.

• The main entrance to the museum has step-free access and is reached by traversing a gravel path.
• A lift provides access to all levels of the museum except the crypt, which is accessed down a flight of narrow stairs.
• A car park is adjacent to the museum.
• An accessible toilet is available on the ground level.
• Assistance dogs are allowed inside the venue.
