Discovering Pierowall, Westray

A walk and talk around the ancient village of Pierowall with Hazel Moore and Graham Wilson, EASE Archaeology, taking in sites of archaeological interest from the Neolithic to Post-Medieval periods – with direction optional visit to Westray Heritage Centre.

This is a free event, with numbers limited to 20. You need to book your place in advance via Eventbrite.

Meet at Quarry Rd, Pierowall. KW17 2DF. The WhatThreeWords for this location is upwards.spun.homeward.

Anyone travelling to this event from out of Westray will need to arrange their own travel. This can be either via Orkney Ferries or LoganAir.

Accessibility Information

As this is outdoors with no shelter, wear weather appropriate clothing and be prepared to walk on some rough ground. All welcome, including well behaved dogs on leads but note that dogs are not allowed in the Heritage Centre.
