Kilmartin Glen Guided Walks

The Kilmartin Glen Guided Walks are FREE and take place every Wednesday at 1:00pm, from 1st April to 21st October.

Numbers are limited to 20 people, so booking is essential!

On these volunteer-led Guided Glen Walks you will visit many of the amazing ancient sites in Kilmartin Glen, including the Linear Cairn Cemetery, Nether Largie South Chambered Cairn and Temple Wood Stone Circle. They are a fun and friendly way to discover what makes this landscape so special!

Each walk lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours, using paths and crossing grassy fields, which can be muddy. Weatherproof clothing and footwear are highly recommended.

They’re very sorry, but the dogs allowed on our guided walks are registered assistance.

Under 18s are welcome to join as long as they are accompanied by an adult and the walk content is suitable for age 10 and over.

The Guided Glen Walks are free, but as Kilmartin Museum is a charity, donations to help support their work are always welcome! You can donate on the day, or you can click here.

If you are an organised group and/or a group of 8 or more, or you wish a guided walk out of season, please email at education@kilmartin.org to discuss your requirements.
