Archaeology Scotland’s Big Dig 2026

Join Archaeology Scotland for four days of archaeology, history and hands on fun as they uncover the fascinating past of Newbattle Abbey.

Get involved with a community archaeology dig (open to all, no experience needed), guided health walks for adults and children’s activities inspired by archaeology and medieval medicine.
