Join this guided walk by The Ma;tings Museum through Cramond Village and the Roman Fort. The fort was built around AD 142 as an outlier of the Antonine Wall and was later used as a base during Emperor Septimius Severus’s campaigns in the north.
You’ll also explore the 18th-century village, taking in the Kirk, Kirkyard, Manse, and the lairds’ mansions, and see how the area developed over the centuries.
Please pre-book your place by emailing admin@cramondheritage.org.uk
Guides are volunteers, but a donation of £5.00 per adult would help keep the museum Exhibition Centre open (accompanied children under 16 go free).
